An Illinois Judge has ruled that a Couple May Sue Over an Embryo Mistakenly Discarded by a Fertility Clinic. Interestingly, the Judge ruled that “a pre-embryo is a ‘human being’ . . . whether or not it is implanted in its mother’s womb.”
In a recent opinion, Illinois’s Cook County Judge Jeffrey Lawrence said “a pre-embryo is a ‘human being’ … whether or not it is implanted in its mother’s womb.”
