Denver’s very own Channel 7, through the investigative work of Tom Burke, Laney Vilian and Tony Kovaleki, released a sobering story about Medical Ops Management, a local Denver Company. MedOps is a company which issues medical reports based upon Independent Medical Examinations (“IMEs”) performed by doctors. It was just released yesterday that MedOps altered medical reports to benefit the company and insurance companies. To read the Channel 7 report, click here.

Alteration of these medical reports may have cost thousands of individuals their insurance benefits, settlements and possibly even their health care, all due to the actions of MedOps owner Dale Davis. Davis failed to appear for his deposition and there currently is a warrant out for his arrest. This story is yet another example of how insurance companies are not out to help those in need, they’re out to make a profit. Former employees of MedOps testified under oath in depositions that MedOps Management used rubber stamps or electronic signatures on amended reports.
