Escalators and Crocs may spell trouble for the funky resin shoe wearers. Injuries have been reported in Japan and Virginia when those wearing the Crocs, especially little kids, are getting their feeties caught in the sides of escalators. While no reports of injuries have been made in Colorado, the reports elsewhere serve as a reminder that those wearing Crocs need to be careful when riding escalators — especially children. But note, escalators accounted for 10,565 ER visits in 2006, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, but only two of those incidents involved shoes.
