Carolina Biological Supply Co., in cooperation with the CPSC, announced a voluntary recall of Carolina Function Generator Kits because the lids in the kits contain excessive levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by children and can cause adverse health effects.
To this date, the company has not received any reports of injury associated with the recalled products.
Recall Description: Carolina Function Generator Kids that consist of a yellow plastic lid, leg stands, and base and whiteboard cards. The lids have two slots labeled IN and OUT. They were sold in Carolina catalogs and on their Web site.
Consumers are advised to keep the recalled kits from children. A free replacement kit can be obtained by contacting the company at (877) 316-1848.
